The Shrubbery Hotel, Ilminster

We were met by courteous, polite personnel.

The room with aircon.

The room was spacious, but we faced loud disturbances from a wedding event.

The bar had no tonic available for the gin :(

The food was incredible and the bar was lovely. Location: the hotel was just off the garden and local shops.

Reasonable rate, clean and tidy, good breakfast

Room furniture and decor is a bit dated/tired

Hospitable place to stay while in Ilminster. Lots of food available in the restaurant. Location close enough to the restaurant, Ilminster, garden. Also, in a historic market town. Quite comfortable experience there.

The Shrubbery has a charming boutique-style decor that feels inviting. I appreciated the well-furnished general areas and how cozy they were.

would prefer fresh fruit and rolls, or bread, yoghurt if necessary, . The location was ideal for us. The floor in the bathroom was outdated, water hangers were separated...who should use them?

Spacious comfortable room - excellent view - swimming pool (we didn't use it but it was there). Friendly restaurant staff

There was a young farmers ball the first night which obviously wasnt advertised and it was a little noisy but not too bad

V. welcoming. Helpful staff. Well appointed room. Choice of evening meals.....Bistro or restaurant. V.good food. Useful half way stop on the way to West Country

Spacious and well-furnished rooms made for a comfortable stay.

Had to drive ten miles to find dining options, as the hotel restaurant was closed.

Our room was very spacious and comfortable with nice decor.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was very clean and plenty of hot water and the breakfast was excellent.
